</p><h2>Yoga As An Efficient Treatment For Hair Loss</h2>
<p>Hair is considered to enhance a person&#8217;s beauty. One should take good care of their tresses and at times pampered it so that the health of the hair is maintained. Hair loss can affect women, men and children. Loss of hair can be depressing and frustrating.Hair loss or baldness is excessive loss of hair from the scalp. The normal cycle of the hair is about 2 to 3 years. Around 90% of the hair is in growing stage and the rest are in the resting phase. After the resting phase the hair falls and gives way to a new strand. Hair loss occurs when more than normal hair falls out without the growth of new hair. There are many causes for hair loss like genes, hormonal imbalance, stress, poor diet etc. Hair loss can be treated through medication and transplants.</p>
<p>Besides these, one can stop hair loss through yoga too.</p>
<p>Yoga has been proved <strong>beneficial to stop hair loss</strong>. The asanas or postures increase the blood flow in the scalp, stimulate the hair follicles and relieve the body of the stress . This helps in reducing the hair loss caused by stress.</p>
<p>Some Asanas that help to prevent hair fall and premature greying are:</p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-92" title="sirsasana" src="http://www.healthburp.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/sirsasana.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="197" />Sirsasana or Head stand pose</strong>:<br />
It increases the blood circulation and also enhances concentration. It is also known as the &#8216;King of Asanas&#8217;. Squat and sit on the floor. Point your toes to the back. Place your palms on the knees and bend forward. Make a triangle between your elbows and finger lock.<br />
The finger lock acts a cushion for the head. Leave your legs from the floor and touch the abdomen. Stretch your legs and let the knees remain folded. Slowly, release your knees and try to keep balance of your body. Hold for a movement. Slowly, fold your knees. Then fold the knees so as to touch the abdomen. Place the feet on the floor in a gradual manner. Hold your head and slowly move to Shavasana.</p>

It triggers the nervous system and enhances circulation, thereby preventing hair loss. Lie flat on your abdomen. Lift your trunk and rest on your knees. Place your palms on the floor. Stretch your legs and exhale. Place your body like an inverted &#8216;V&#8217; and push your palms on the floor and inhale.</p>
<p><strong><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-96" title="Kapalabhati Pranayama" src="http://www.healthburp.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Kapalabhati-Pranayama.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="139" />Kapalabhati or Frontal lobe cleansing technique</strong>:</p>
<p>It is a breathing exercise that aids in overall well being of the individual. Conscious inhalation is not allowed. Contract the muscles in the abdomen, while exhaling. Do it for five minutes. Continuous exhalation is done to the maximum extent possible. Take short breaks and extend the asana to ten minutes. It is done by sitting in an erect manner.</p>

<p><strong><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-95" title="Anuloma viloma" src="http://www.healthburp.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/03/Anuloma-viloma.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="140" />Anuloma viloma or Alternative Breathing</strong>:<br />
It is a kind of breathing technique that helps in hair loss. It involves alternate breathing. Normal process of breathing is done initially. Pause and continue with one nostril. Breathe in through one nostril and breathe out through the other. Continue this pattern of breathing for about five minutes. It also increases the cognitive development of the individual.</p>

It is very important to know your hair perfectly well before embarking on any beauty regimen. Taking care of hair is a challenge in these days with harmful environmental factors, unhealthy lifestyle, chemicals affecting our hair on an everyday basis. Even if one is naturally endowed with healthy hair, adequate care needs to be taken to maintain it. This is one of the most important features of a person&#8217;s personality. Treat your hair well and rest assured that it would return the favor.</p>
<h2><strong>Natural remedies</strong></h2>
<p>Hair loss, also known as baldness refers to excessive hair loss from scalp and can be the result of heredity, certain medications or an underlying medical condition.</p>
<p>It is normal to shed some hair each day as part of a cycle of growing new hairs and loosing some.</p>
<p>However, some people may experience excessive hair loss which might cause baldness. Hair loss of this type can affect men, women and children.</p>
<p>So now that we know what it is, we need to know how to deal with it. For that I added a few natural remedies you can try:</p>
<ul>
<li>Yemeni med: Soak fenugreek (Hilba) in deep pot of water throughout the night. Massage the liquid into the scalp and wrap with a cloth for 3 hours. Repeat everyday for 1 month.</li>
<li>Massage the scalp with uncooked egg yolk, leave for 1 hour and wash.</li>
<li>Smear Red Henna on the scalp and wait for 1 hour, then wash, Repeat for 10-14 days. Be ware- your hair will turn red from the henna!</li>
<li>Smear castor oil on the scalp and the hair roots but not on the hair, wrap the hair with a newspaper, tie with a cloth and leave overnight, wash in the morning. Repeat every 7-10 days (results will come after 6-7 treatments).</li>
<li>Boil 1 cup of water, add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, cook for 5 minutes, cool and drink.</li>
<li>Blanch scented geranium leaves in boiling water, strain, cool and use to wash the hair.</li>
<li>Rub olive oil into the scalp to reduce hair loss.</li>
<li>Boil rosemary leaves in water, strain and save the liquid in a glass bottle. Use to wash the hair every day. You can also put the rosemary water in a sprayer and spray the hair every morning.</li>

<p>These are the following tips which you can follow to <strong>prevent hair fall</strong>:</p>

<li><strong>Not to blow dryers</strong>: Use of blow dryers makes hair fragile and they lose their natural texture. Let your hair dry naturally.</li>
<li><strong>Don&#8217;t use comb</strong> while your <strong>hair is wet</strong>. Wet hair is more prone to get damaged. It&#8217;s better to brush your hair after they are dried.</li>
<li>You need to quit drinking alcohol, smoking, tobacco or any other habit of this kind. This is another big reason for early hair fall found in men and women both who drink and smoke.</li>
<li>Do not apply any chemical bleach or color to your hair, this can increase hair fall.</li>
<li>Prevent your hair from pollution because smoke and dirt can damage your hair.</li>
<li>Hair fall happens due to lack of proper nutrition. So, make sure you take a proper balanced diet. If required you can take supplements to fulfill the daily requirement of vitamins, minerals and mainly diet rich in iron and protein.</li>
<li>Use gentle shampoo and conditioner for your hair. Shampoo with harsh chemicals can weaken the roots of your hair.</li>
<li>Apply coconut hair oil and massage your scalp gently for 10-15mins. Repeat this task at least 2-3 times in a week.</li>
<li>Stress is another factor responsible for hair fall. Depression damages natural vitamins and minerals prepared by our body which causes it to dis-function and hair loss is common during this time.</li>
